Burk Evans, one of Walnut Township’s oldest citizens, died Sunday evening at his residence one mile west of New Ross, aged 71 years. The cause of his death was diabetes. The funeral services were held at the residence Tuesday at 10 a.m. by Rev. Plunkett. Interment was at Pisgah. - kbz

Burk Evans, one of the oldest citizens of the county died at his home near New Ross Sunday.  He was 71 years of age and for almost half a century had been a citizen of Walnut Township.  He died of diabetes.  Rev. Plunket of Crawfordsville conducted the funeral services at the residence Tuesday at 10 o’clock and interment was made at Pisgah – Ladoga Leader - kbz
